Should cops carry guns ?
Firstly 2020 has been a rough year and having police officers carrying guns to control you with a weapon will make it even worse. Some cops don’t think before they act, just like in 2015 a young 23 year old man got shot by a cop because the cop had mistaken a cell phone as a gun. As citizens in New Zealand, our country is very safe and it should stay that way.
Secondly people shouldn’t work their butt’s off and earn money for their family/food/others and all their hard work all goes to waste just because of cops wasting money on gun’s . New Zealand’s crime rates have dropped down very quickly so we hardly get any trouble. The New Zealand cops have spent 1.68 million dollars on guns and each year New Zealanders have earned 1.5 trillion dollars.
Lastly innocent people are getting shot not because they are criminals but because of who they are or where they came from. All this madness needs to stop right now, everyone needs to treat everyone the same. Other’s should never live in fear.
